Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, your private guide from Jabari Safaris will warmly welcome you, assist with luggage, and escort you to your safari vehicle. You will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi for check-in at Sarova Stanley, where you will spend 1 night in a superior room with an ensuite bathroom

Sarova Stanley is a historic landmark overlooking Nairobi’s Central Business District. Named after journalist-turned-explorer H.M. Stanley, who famously sought Dr. Livingstone, it was Kenya’s first hotel and the venue for historic milestones including the first post office, first stock exchange, and Queen Elizabeth II’s first address in Kenya. Its blend of colonial charm and modern comforts makes it the perfect start to your safari adventure.

Leave Nairobi behind as you journey to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife reserve renowned for the annual wildebeest migration and abundant wildlife. The scenic road transfer takes you through the Great Rift Valley, a geological marvel stretching approximately 7,000 km from Lebanon to Mozambique. The journey takes 5–6 hours with brief stopovers for photos and refreshments.

Upon arrival at the Masai Mara entrance, complete the park formalities (IDs or passports required) before enjoying a game drive en route to Sarova Mara Game Camp for check-in and lunch. Later, embark on your afternoon game drive around 1600hrs, a prime time for spotting wildlife. Return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Sarova Mara Game Camp offers a luxurious safari experience with 20 Club Tents, 30 Deluxe Tents, 19 Standard Tents, and 3 Family Tents, all with en-suite bathrooms. The camp features a main restaurant, bar, and a freeform swimming pool with pool bar. Club Tents provide sweeping views of the Mara plains. Dining is exceptional, with options for organic garden and bush meals.

Highlights of your Masai Mara stay:

  • Morning and afternoon game drives to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, and more.
  • Visit to a local Masai market to shop for handcrafted souvenirs like animal sculptures and kikois.
  • Lunch under the iconic lone tree in the reserve.
  • Excursion to the Mara River to glimpse hippos, crocodiles, and the spectacle of wildlife crossing.
  • Up-close encounters with Kenya’s diverse fauna.

Begin with an early morning game drive, followed by breakfast at the camp. After a brief refresh, check out and enjoy a final en-route game drive as you return to Nairobi. Arrive in the late afternoon and check in at Sarova Stanley on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Enjoy breakfast before departing for Tsavo West, a 5–6 hour road transfer through scenic landscapes. Tsavo West is Kenya’s second-largest national park, famous for its rugged terrain, spectacular game viewing, and diverse flora and fauna. Expect to see elephants, rhinos, hippos, lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, and a variety of bird species including the near-threatened Basra Reed Warbler.

Check-in at Salt Lick Lodge, situated near a waterhole where wildlife often gathers—a preview of the safari adventures ahead. Lunch is served upon arrival, followed by relaxation or optional exploration around the lodge.

Begin with an early morning game drive at sunrise, returning for breakfast at the lodge. Spend the entire day exploring Tsavo West with packed lunches. Highlights include:

  • Mzima Springs – watch crystal-clear water emerge from underground lava rock.
  • Shetani Lava Flows – a dramatic landscape of volcanic rock formations.
  • Savannah plains, riverine vegetation, and rocky ridges – ideal for wildlife spotting.
  • Poacher’s Lookout – panoramic views of herds roaming the plains below.

Return to Salt Lick Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After a final early morning game drive and breakfast, check out and transfer to Voi train station. Bid farewell to your driver and board the train to Mombasa (1–2 hours). Upon arrival, transfer to Sarova White Sands Beach Resort, your coastal retreat for 4 nights.

Relax amidst palm-fringed beaches, indulge in spa treatments, enjoy watersports, or simply soak in the sun and turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean. Meals are provided at the resort, and days are at leisure to unwind after your bush adventure.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Moi International Airport for your flight to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, connecting onward to your next destination.
