THE BIRTH OF JABARI SAFARIS
Jabari Safaris was founded from a deep love and passion for travel. Officially established in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic, the company’s story stretches back much further to 2005. It was then that a young Alpha Harrison, the Founder and CEO, first discovered his passion for safaris while attending junior school at St. Paul’s Ol-Jororok in Nyandarua County, overlooking Lake Ol Bolossat. Through trips organized by the school but funded by his father, Julius Mwangi—whose contribution to the company remains invaluable—Alpha Harrison unknowingly laid the foundation for his future career.
A graduate of Kenya Utalii College, Alpha Harrison earned a diploma in Tourism and Travel Management. He later gained experience working with several renowned brands in the tourism industry, where he refined his expertise and ultimately pursued his dream of building a legacy in luxury travel.
In Memory Of Julius Mwangi Wambugu
We also wish to honor the memory of Julius Mwangi Wambugu, who passed away on January 21, 2026. A beloved member of the Jabari family, Wambugu’s contributions to the company were immeasurable. He was, and continues to be, the driving force behind Jabari LLC and The Jabari Care as a whole. His deep love for safari and conservation helped shape the company’s commitment to giving back to the communities we visit.
Julius Mwangi Wambugu lived a remarkable life, one that embodied our values and purpose: to leave a meaningful and positive impact on the people and places we encounter—a lasting testament that we were here. The Jabari family will continue to honor him and remember him as charismatic, warm, and truly one of a kind.
