This exclusive safari explores the best of Uganda’s diverse landscapes. Beginning in Kidepo Valley, ringed by mountains in the far northeast of Uganda. This paradise is known for its large herds of buffalo, zebra, and the occasional tree-climbing lion, being one of the most isolated of its kind makes it ideal for game viewing without much overcrowding as you’re likely to find less than 1o visitors a day. Venture onwards to the Semliki Wildlife Reserve, where you shall go chimpanzee tracking – for your stay lodge having helped launch the Semliki Chimpanzee Research Project. Chat with the resident chimp researcher and learn about evolution and bipedalism. Go and explore. Go and allow your senses leeway. Go and stay awhile. In addition to the Semliki experience enjoy a private boat cruise on Lake Albert in search of the critically endangered shoebill. You will then travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for exceptional encounters with critically endangered mountain gorillas.

Your adventure begins when you enplane for Uganda.
After arrival at Entebbe airport a representative of JABARI shall meet you and help you with the onward arrangements, board a light flight to Kidepo airstrip. This flight will take you to the soul-stirring remote and untouched Kidepo Valley National Park considered one of the best wilderness areas in Africa, harboring a couple of extinct species of wildlife found nowhere else in Uganda reserves and parks. Here you will have much to look forward to from lions, elephants, and leopards to buffaloes, giraffes, a variety of antelope an extensive array of bird species and so much more. On arrival you shall be ushered into the wilderness reserve by our representative from our partner lodge, you will be transferred to your stay accommodation on a shared vehicle. As remote as you can get, when you close your eyes and think of Africa, the landscape you imagine – the jagged hills, the golden grasses, the plains dotted with wildlife, the soft glowing light – is likely to be Kidepo. This is Uganda’s most remote park, far away from city life. The rooms at Apoka have been built with comfort in mind. Everything is handmade by local craftsmen; everything is large and capacious. 10 expansive rooms with natural canvas walls surround a rocky kopje with endless views across the savannah. With inside sitting rooms and private verandas, there are plenty of places to relax, read and sprawl. Start your day with a heaty breakfast, you shall be transferred to the airstrip where you shall board a light scheduled flight to Entebbe Airport where you shall board a flight to Semliki airstrip bearing the name of the Semliki wild reserve, Semliki is Uganda’s oldest wildlife reserve and set in an area of outstanding scenery in the Albertine Rift Valley. The reserve boasts diverse landscapes of rain forest, dry savannah grasslands, and riparian woodland, as well as magnificent views of the rift valley escarpment, Rwenzori Mountains and distant Blue Mountains in the Congo.On arrival at the airstrip, you shall be picked and transferred to your next stay lodge in a shared vehicle. Semliki Safari Lodge is one of the few places where staying is like stepping back in time, as it evokes the spirit of explorers, piques curiosity, and inspires discovery. Your day starts with a mouthwatering breakfast followed by a road transfer in a shared lodge vehicle to the airstrip where you shall board a scheduled flight to Kisoro airstrip. Your next stop is Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, an ideal destination for tracking gorillas in the dense misty rainforest. After arrival at Kisoro, you shall be picked up and transferred to your next stay lodge. Check in at Cloud Mountain Lodge where you shall spend 2 nights.

Since it opened this small and remote lodge has been the best locally and internationally. Picture this: You are sitting up on a ridge, above the clouds, looking across to the Virunga volcanoes. Behind you is the primordial, mysterious and impenetrable forest that is Bwindi. As you sit there, drinking your chilled wine, or your freshly brewed coffee, or your freshly squeezed juice or your amber-colored whisky you smile. You smile because you know that your personal butler is lighting the fire in your cottage and setting out your freshly laundered clothes. In the kitchen a gorgeous meal is being prepared, and tomorrow after breakfast you will walk from the lodge to the Nkuringo trailhead and track the gorillas.
