Where you will enjoy the wide ecological diversity and varied habitats that range from Lake Nakuru itself to the surrounding escarpment and picturesque ridges. Lake Nakuru National Park is ideal for bird watching, hiking, picnic and game drives. A safari itinerary is as follows.
On arrival a representative from JABARI will pick you from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and whisk you away to Sarova Stanley Hotel where you will spend 1 night in a superior room with an ensuite bathroom.
Sarova Stanley is a charming facility overlooking the Nairobi Central Business District. The Stanley was home to adventurers, seekers, writers, artists and celebrities. Named after the journalist turned explorer HM Stanley commissioned to find the infamous Dr Livingstone, it was the first hotel in Kenya, the venue for the first address from England’s reigning Queen as Monarch, the first post office and the first stock exchange in Kenya. Walking through the Sarova Stanley, every corner hosts stunning black and white portraits representing a journey through time.
The chequered black and white flooring in the lobby is original to only 34 Heritage hotels worldwide, built in the era. From images of Princess Elizabeth just before she became Britain’s sovereign to photos of Ernest Hemingway and his wife cuddling a lion cub it is filled with stories of people and events that, while contributing to the hotel’s lore, have had a profound effect on Kenyan and global history. Pick up from your Nairobi area hotel/ Residence by our Driver guide. You will depart for Masai Mara with a picturesque drive descending the Great Rift Valley and onwards to Masai Mara, Kenya’s famous game reserve. (Drive time 5.5 hours). Enroute stopover will be at the Great Rift Valley Viewpoint where you will enjoy stunning views of the largest valley in the world, said to be visible from outer space. Arrive at Masai Mara Sopa Lodge where you will spend 2 nights in a standard room with an ensuite bathroom. Your stay will include breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Located high on the slopes of the Oloolaimutia Hills, Masai Mara Sopa Lodge was one of the first safari lodges to be built in the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, a reason why its gardens and trees are so lush and mature. All the buildings follow the design of traditional African round houses with conical roofs, and these stretch along the line of the hills with the impressively large public area buildings and the swimming pool at their Centre. The lodge has fifty guest cottages divided into two wings to either side of the main public areas. Each of these house two spacious guest rooms with queen and king size beds; mosquito nets; electronic safes; dressing tables; en-suite bathrooms and sheltered verandas that all have views over the gardens and the game reserve beyond.

Upon the break of dawn, you will have an early rise prolly at 0615hrs for your safari game drive during which you will see more of the Mara’s great wildlife at their most active, this is the hour they are definitely coming out of their bolthole in search of food. Hosting the 8th wonder of the world in its natural habitat annually, makes this destination the most sought after in the world. In this preserve game is not difficult to find and this alone makes it one of the best place to enjoy the authenticity of an African safari. This day as you proceed for a full day game drive, the sights of Lions either sleeping or prowling, Gnus (from July to Oct), Cheetahs, Buffaloes, tawny antelopes in great herds among other animals will forever be the most evocative images from Africa and fresh in your mind.

Tuck into leisurely breakfast followed by a check out, you will have a game drive enroute as you proceed for Lake Nakuru National Park, this drive will take you through spectacular views of a fault scarp running along the western edge of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya, the Mau escarpment. You will arrive to your stay lodge in time for late lunch, check in at Sopa Lodge where you will spend 1 night in a standard room with an ensuite bathroom.
Located on a range of hills that form the western limits of Africa’s Great Rift Valley, the lodge offers spectacular views over the vastness of Africa. The lodge also overlooks Lake Nakuru and its surrounding National Park, one that is a paradise for bird watchers and wildlife lovers alike. Lake Nakuru National Park is mainly a wooded and bushy grassland with a wide ecological diversity and characteristic habitats that range from the lake waters to the escarpment and ridges.

You will embark on your concluding game drive early in the morning, which will be followed by a mouthwatering breakfast at the lodge. You will leave the shoreline of lake Nakuru behind as you proceed for Nairobi with an enroute excursion at Crescent Island which is considered as the most beautiful park and often called Naivasha’s Best kept secret. Surrounded by water, it is actually a peninsula and is currently only accessible by boat from the East or West side. After an interspecies camaraderie, you will enjoy a local cuisine form local eateries within which offer fish delicacy (kindly if you have dietary concerns, other arrangements can be made). You will later proceed for Nairobi where you will be transferred to your stay hotel, Eka hotel where you will spend 1 night in a superior room with an ensuite bathroom.

Today marking the end of your Kenyan Safari, After Breakfast you will check out of the hotel in the most apt time to catch your next destination flight. You will be transferred by our driver guide to the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he will bid you a fond goodbye.
