Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya

Touch down in Nairobi and enjoy a comfortable transfer to your elegant accommodations. Nestled against the scenic backdrop of the Ngong Hills, Hemingways Nairobi captures the timeless charm of a classic East African safari experience.

Overnight: Hemingways Nairobi

Fly to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, a private reserve encompassing 90,000 acres of unspoiled African landscape where the Big Five roam. Upon arrival, transfer to your stunning tented camp. Your tent is large and airy, featuring a private veranda and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower.

Enjoy lunch at camp, followed by an afternoon game drive exploring the conservancy’s diverse terrain of grassy plains and breathtaking valleys.

Accommodation: Tambarare Camp

Begin the day with an exhilarating morning game drive, featuring a rare and moving encounter with the world’s last northern white rhinos in their secure, closely guarded enclosure.

In the afternoon, tailor your adventure with one of these immersive Design Your Day experiences:

  • Guided Bush Walk – Explore the African wilderness on foot alongside a knowledgeable ranger for an intimate look at the flora and fauna.
  • Anti-Poaching Dog Unit Interaction – Meet the dedicated canine team, test their tracking skills, and experience their vital role in conservation firsthand.
  • Chimpanzee Sanctuary Visit – Observe rescued chimpanzees in a protected environment while gaining insight into rehabilitation and conservation efforts.

In the evening, unwind at Tambarare Camp and savor a delicious dinner beneath the stars.

Board a scenic flight to the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve, a sweeping expanse of plains alive with wildlife and home to the densest concentration of animal species in Kenya. At the heart of this ecosystem reigns the Mara’s iconic lion population, the largest in the country.

After settling into your luxurious accommodation at Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara, head out on an exciting game drive through this wildlife-rich landscape. Cap off the day with a picturesque Scenic Sundowner as the sun dips below the savannah horizon.

Accommodation : Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara

Spend the next two thrilling days exploring the vast savanna surrounding your camp, venturing out in search of the incredible wildlife that makes this one of Kenya’s premier game reserves.

Bordering Tanzania, the Maasai Mara is an essential part of the greater Serengeti ecosystem. Each year, over a million wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles journey north during the Great Migration, drawn by Mara’s rich, green pastures.

Trace the winding Mara River, where crocodiles sunbathe on the banks, hippos lounge in the water, and monkeys swing through the trees above.

Accommodation : Olare Mara Kempinski Masai Mara

This morning, you may choose to trade your game drive for an optional hot air balloon ride over the expansive Mara plains (available at an additional cost).

Later, visit a local school on the edge of the Maasai Mara for a meaningful experience arranged through Jabari’s community outreach initiatives. Learn about ongoing community projects focused on education, healthcare, and sustainable development, and witness firsthand the positive impact responsible tourism can have.

Afterwards, visit a nearby Maasai village for an authentic glimpse into the traditions, customs, and daily life of this remarkable community.

Fly south into Tanzania to explore the iconic Serengeti National Park. Spanning over 10,000 square miles, this vast wilderness is renowned for its rich biodiversity, where antelope, hyenas, leopards, giraffes, lions, buffalo, and cheetahs roam freely.

Upon arrival at Nimali Mara, enjoy lunch at camp before heading out on a late afternoon game drive (subject to arrival time and conditions).

In the evening, indulge in a Chef’s Table experience featuring a live cooking demonstration and a tasting of a traditional Tanzanian dish before settling in for dinner.

Accommodation: Nimali Mara

Spend the day immersed in the raw beauty of the Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives across sweeping plains shaped by winding rivers that nourish diverse wildlife—from vibrant birdlife and reptiles to grazing antelope and powerful predators.

Conclude the afternoon’s adventure with a Scenic Sundowner, raising a glass as the African sun melts into the horizon.

Along the way, keep an eye out for the intriguing Little Five: ant lions, leopard tortoises, elephant shrews, rhinoceros beetles, and buffalo weavers—often hidden beneath stones or perched on acacia branches.

As the day ends, return to camp bathed in the warm glow of a golden sunset.
